Instructions for Authors

Every article shall carry a take-home message for practical action towards upliftment of Indian Knowledge Systems and humanity at large
Further, every paper shall have message to common man / non traditional practitioners/professionals
If authors prefer to publish their papers in their own handwriting in addition to typed version, hand written final manuscripts are accepted for publication. The same shall be as per the legibility conditions given below:
  • The hand written manuscripts shall be written in black pens
  • The writing shall be legible with no issues on readability
  • Layout of the hand written manuscripts should be fairly compatible with the format of the typed version
  • The journal wishes hand written manuscipts be included.
  • Photos and figures may be pasted
All finally accepted papers shall be submitted in camera-ready format
All vernacular language papers in typed form shall use unicode fonts; and shall have elongated abstracts in English

Plagiarism

The plagiarism percentage accepted is a maximum of 20% for review papers and 15% for other kinds of papers.
The authors shall take written permission from applicable sources for the use of their material in the paper, and the same shall be uploaded during submission.

Copyright transfer

This is a Diamond open access Journal (Free for readers - and - Free for authors)
The journal reserves copyright of the publications
Appropriate declaration in this regards has to be signed in the format sent to the corresponding author; once the articles are accepted.

Reviewing

  • Reviewing is blinded and would be done both by domain experts and non-domain enthusiasts. Decision of the review committee will be final.
  • Further, without prejudice to IKS negative results are also considered for publication. However, the same should be systematically discussed.

    • Publication Charges/Payment

    There shall be no publication charges.
    To promote research in the area of Indian Knowledge Systems, publication is free. The journal can be downloadable free from the journal's website. Hard copy subscription is charged only to bear the production cost. For subscription details contact the editor at rbrdvv@gmail.com.

    Paper Writing Assistance

    In view of promoting publications on IKS, the journal has willingness to provide need-based free assistance in paper writing, subject to availability of volunteers in the language:
    • ... for individuals having good technical/professional content, but are not literates and hence need writing assistance
    • ... for traditional practitioners who have good practical experience or work content and proper evidence, but are unable to put it on paper
    • ... for individuals who are able to write, but not having a professional touch; wherein assistance will be provided to write the colloquial content in a professional manner

    Appeal

    In the above context, the journal invites volunteers who can take up the paper writing assistance tasks. Further, the journal requests intimation / information about individuals who work could be worth publishing. Needless to say, even such prepared papers are also subject to blinded peer review before acceptance. Further, with mutual understanding of the individual in need of assistance and the volunteer, if the volunteer has made significant contribution for the paper, the volunteer could be be considered as co-author.
